Intro to IP Cameras

Before IP Camera Technology, we depended on running wire from our recording device to each camera.  We could view multi-screen and that was about it.
Today with IP Camera Technology we can offer so much more.  If it is too complicated, or expensive to run cable, consider wireless IP Camera Technology.  This new technology also allows us to bring our cameras into our IP network at home, or the office.  By doing this gives us more control and easier access to our computers that control these cameras. It also provides flexibility to our system and is more cost effective with installation and purchase.
With your IP Network connected to the internet, you can monitor and manage your cameras from any internet connection.  This was not available on the previous analog systems.

Benefits of Network IP Cameras:

#1 Benifit is remote monitoring and management.  This one feature alone is why most people choose this system.  You can actually view your camera or cameras, from any internet connection with a browser remotely or locally.  You can manage your IP Camera by changing passwords, view live and recorded video, Pan/Tilt/Zoom (if applicable), and control any other aspects of your camera as if you were there.  IP Cameras are also capable of recording video upon motion and defining the areas to ignore or observe.
The scalability of the IP Camera system is another great advantage.  Adding cameras is easily done wired or wireless by adding to your router or access point.  You may require more storage by adding another hard drive to your system, but cameras can be added at any time.
By storing your footage on hard drives, you can access the footage quickly and easily verses an analog video tape recorder.  You also DO NOT need to connect to a computer.  As long as you have an network and or internet connection, your camera does all of the processing and no need for a computer.  You also not only get video footage, but if your camera has the capabilities, you get audio as well.

Don't let the terminology or lack of IP Networks bog you down.  It is not as difficult as you may think.  You may require assistance at first, but then everything comes together so easily to make this solution the best!  Start with one camera today and see how simple this system really is.
